Suffering can be transformative when one works towards healing.

No matter your background, what you have suffered in life, or what you are dealing with now, you are welcome to explore pathways towards healing through clinical counseling with a clinician who is no stranger to the darkness and confusion of mental illness and its effects.

I offer fully remote therapy, Intensive EMDR Therapy, clinical supervision, and EMDR Therapy consultation over a HIPPA Compliant Google Workspace.

I am licensed to practice clinical counseling in the States of Ohio and Michigan.

I am licensed to serve as a clinical supervisor in the State of Ohio and a Consultant in training through EMDRIA globally.

My Approach

I believe in the inviolable dignity of every human being and I welcome everyone with a therapeutic orientation of unconditional positive regard. I have over a decade of experience as a professional clinical counselor with specializations in treating complex trauma, PTSD, depression and anxiety, OCD, ADHD and neurodivergence, grief and bereavement, phase of life changes and vocational discernment, substance use and the gambit of addictions to name a few.

I implement an insight oriented approach through effective evidenced based treatment modalities including EMDR Therapy, CBT, REBT, ACT, DBT, Mindfulness and Existential approaches grounded in a formal graduate education in philosophy from Fordham University and Mental Health Counseling from the University of Dayton.

For those clients seeking to work through chronic or acute traumatic experiences, I also offer Intensive EMDR Therapy as a means of healing deep wounds in a concentrated amount of time - explained in more detail below.

As a supervisor and consultant, I use a cordial and candid style of formation in the mental health professions with a realization that mistakes and failures are an integral part of growth in competency as a professional and a person. Perfection in practice as a clinician and in life is unobtainable. Learning to execute the therapeutic process with a strong foundation in ethics and increasing confidence in the treatment approaches you have a penchant for administering, is not.

Lastly, I believe the therapeutic healing process integrates the entire person: mind, body, heart, soul, and spirit. I have received seven years of formal formation with The Jesuits of the Midwest Province which has afforded me exposure to a vast richness of spiritual practice and tradition that stretches across a plethora of faiths and wisdom traditions and includes training in spiritual direction. While my specialty resides in Christian Counseling in the Roman Catholic Tradition, I am also very comfortable incorporating principles from Eastern Religions, other monotheistic faiths, and any other Christian denomination into my practice of clinical therapy. Including your spirituality into counseling is by no means a requirement and is at the initiative of the client to request. I also love working with agnostics and atheists of all stripes because I believe in a person’s freedom to worship, or not worship, according to their conscience.

My Services
